Biography

Susanne obtained her PhD in 2017 at Uppsala University with the thesis “Caesarean section- short and long-term maternal complications”

She is currently having a post-doctoral fellowchip at Centre of Clinical research Dalarna, Uppsala University, combined with clinical obstetrics at the hospital of Falun, Sweden. Research interests and focus are maternal complications in reproduction, substance use and mental health during pregnancy, through epidemiological studies and register-based research in the Swedish Pregnancy Register and National Swedish registers. She is the local PI of the EVA trial and co-supervisor of PhD students focusing on mental health and substance use during pregnancy, birth experience and social inequalities impact on reproductive health.
