Biography

Nicole Wallin holds a medical degree from the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. She is currently completing her medical internship at Sahlgrenska University Hospital while pursuing her PhD at the University of Gothenburg. Her doctoral research focuses on preeclampsia and its impact on long-term maternal health outcomes.

Nicole has been part of the GO-PROVE study since her summer internship in 2021. Under the supervision of Associate Professor Lina Bergman, she conducted her master’s thesis entitled “Prediction of hypertension in women with preeclampsia one year postpartum.”

Her interest in women’s health was sparked during her work as an assistant nurse at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, where she first encountered women affected by preeclampsia. Nicole’s long-term goal is to continue advancing research and clinical practice within the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
