Christa Rohwer

Biography

Christa is an occupational therapist from South Africa and holds a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology from the University of Stellenbosch. She will work as a research coordinator on the INCENTIVE study and the APPLE PIE trial. The INCENTIVE study will explore the longer-term neurological outcomes in women with eclampsia, whilst the APPLE PIE trial will assess whether metformin prevents preeclampsia in high-risk women. Her supervisor is Lina Bergman, and co-supervisor is Cathy Cluver.

Currently, she is working on Cochrane systematic reviews in the field of maternal health and will apply to the PhD programme at the Sahlgrenska Academy in the summer of 2025.
